Luna Boeken is a publicity project helping writers find their readers.
We support authors and their books.
A small publicity project with a big reach, Luna Boeken (loo-na boo-kun) was created by two authors, Kate + Emma. Between us, we’ve published two books, with a third forthcoming. We’ve worked for literary nonprofits, independent bookshops, and creative writing programs. By sharing what we’ve learned as authors, and drawing on our experiences working across the book industry, we help writers find their readers.
How We Work
-
We develop publicity plans to support your ambitions for your book, and implement them in the months leading up to publication.
-
We pitch independent bookshops, book festivals, and reading series, and initiate possibilities to collaborate with other authors.
-
We pitch interviews, profiles, companion essays, and reviews across a range of media, from traditional news to lit mags, Substack newsletters, podcasts, and more.
-
We create press kits for pitching, as well as social-media-ready graphics highlighting your events and media appearances.
-
We’re here to advise, to collaborate, to brainstorm. We want to demystify the publishing experience, grow your community, and celebrate you and your work.

Why Work With Us?
“As the publication date for my short story collection approached, I wanted to feel like I was a part of the literary community, and I wasn’t sure how to go about it. I was also uncertain about what book publicity would be like. Would it feel uncomfortable? What I really wanted to do was feel connected to other writers and readers.
“When I met Kate, I knew I was in wonderful hands. She was such a champion of me and my book, and helped me find ways to be a part of the writing world—from thoughtful interviews to finding new audiences for some of my stories—that felt comfortable, genuine, and even delightful!
“One of my favorite parts of the publication process really was working with Kate—I’ve made so many lovely new connections through my book, and I’ve learned more about my writing and myself along the way.”
